The Product Specialist-Tax for Wolters Kluwer (WK) Legal Markets Group (LMG) is responsible for leveraging a mastery of product and segment knowledge to continuously generate sales leads and follow them through to completion for an expansive US territory. This position is eligible for remote work.

The Product Specialist delivers extensive product and industry knowledge to convey value proposition, build customer confidence, negotiate and secure new business for the Legal Markets Group. The Product Specialist also lends significant product and industry knowledge to internal strategy and special projects to expand or optimize product features and marketing strategy.

Activities of the Product Specialist include:

Maintaining a mastery and deep domain knowledge of the assigned products, competitors in the marketspace, market segment, customers, and the industry as a whole; continuously seeking sales opportunities within a large geographic territory, working both individually and with a team to execute and finalize the sales process to meet revenue targets; contributing subject matter expertise to the development of product and marketing strategies; managing time and resources effectively to accomplish sales goals; participating in organizational activities to meet or exceed company objectives; and representing Wolters Kluwer within the industry.

Contributing tax subject matter expertise to assist in the development of product and marketing strategies by keeping abreast of the corporate and division mission and strategy, contributing analysis of the market and competitive landscape to the development of product strategy, identifying and documenting gaps or issues with the current product and relaying customer feedback and enhancement recommendations to Product Management.

The Tax Product Specialist needs to effectively manage time and resources to accomplish sales goals by planning for and scheduling all sales activity, regularly participating in customer engagements, conducting administrative activities and tracking KPI's and noted resource utilization in accordance with company standards.

Additional responsibilities include participation in organizational activities to meet or exceed company objectives by attending national sales meetings, assisting the development and delivery of sales programs (e.g., training programs, product programs) and applying subject matter expertise to special projects that will help drive profitability and growth. Participating in thought provoking, strategic discussions with management, sharing analytical, quantitative, and conceptual insights to enhance the organization is welcomed and encouraged.


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing/Sales, or related discipline; OR, if no degree, 7

years of inside or outside sales experience.

Minimum Experience: 5 years of sales experience, including:

  • Motivated self-starter with hustle and persistence

Preferred Experience: 7 years of sales experience, including:

  • Performing sales to large accounts

  • Working in the legal industry

  • Articulating market trends to internal teams (e.g., Product Management, Marketing)

  • Utilizing SalesForce.com
