Our Sacramento office is currently seeking a self-motivatedStaff Engineerto join us supporting ourInfrastructure Engineering Group. This is a great opportunity to work in a growth-oriented professional consulting office. The successful candidate will work with and be mentored by strong, senior technical staff on projects involving water and wastewater conveyance, pumping stations, and master planning work.

In this role you will work closely with project managers and other team members to execute work involving conventional types of civil engineering principals and other related activities for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Specific duties may include the following:
Assist with design of water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations, including completing calculations, development of plans and specifications.
Prepare infiltration/inflow analysis and pipeline condition assessments.
Conduct flow monitoring and hydraulic modeling.
Assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternatives analyses, and other technical deliverables.
Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications as part of engineering services during construction.
Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders for construction projects.
Conduct field work as necessary for various projects.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (drafters, designers, and other engineers).
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering;Master’s degree preferred.
Coursework in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, structural analysis, soil mechanics, and surveying preferred.
0-2 years professional experience in the study, design, and construction administration of wastewater conveyance facilities.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills required.
Strong Microsoft Office skills required, particularly Microsoft Excel.
AutoCAD, GIS and MathCAD and/or Civil 3D knowledge a plus.
