Sutter Health Access Control Manager in Sacramento, California
This position serves as the subject matter expert for all facets of provisioning and electronic access control management for all populations (employee, visitor, contractor, vendor, student, et al) of persons accessing Sutter Health facilities. Role includes production, distribution, issue, and accountability for all Sutter Health identifying credentials. Manager provides programmatic direction/oversight and is accountable for the performance of approximately 20 Badge System Administrators who have varying affiliate portfolios. Overarching purpose is to reduce site-to-site variation, achieve system-wide coherence, minimize risk exposures, operate efficiently, and deliver consistent and repeatable service. Responsible for operationalizing and administering the system-wide Access Control Policy through effective monitoring, auditing, controls, reporting, and continuous improvement. Achieves assured provisioning through hard-wired processes and technology. Resolves problems and fulfills program imperatives which effectively balance convenience and security with a high service orientation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Security Management, Business, or like-field that contributes to desired competencies required or equivalent education/experience.
Software House C-Cure 9000 Certification or equivalent access control platform. Required
3-5 years managing an Enterprise level access control and visitor management system required.
6-9 years Business integration experience, bringing new products, new services and new clients into an existing operation required.
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of access control and visitor management software and systems used in identification badge production, as well as data mining techniques. Outstanding customer service skills. Ability to complete multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with standard office, and office equipment pertaining to the production of identification badges.
Knowledge of Healthcare industry and geographically dispersed organizations would be beneficial
Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Database tools
Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement
Ability to identify training needs and encourage training for team members
Ability to drive and maintain employee engagement
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and to respond to changing demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment.
