The Architecture team is within VTT and we define future processor graphics engines for mobile, desktop and server platforms that will lead the graphics market in power and performance. We are seeking for a Graphics Performance Architect to join our team. In this position you will work closely with Graphics architects, software engineering, and simulator experts. You will develop graphics, media, display & imaging solutions for a range of platforms from traditional PC clients to high end data center servers. Our development environment is dynamic and fast-moving, passionate about high-quality results, frequently entailing multiple projects under concurrent development. You will be encouraged to take informed risks, to continuously seek useful design innovations and process improvements, and to have fun while doing so.

You will help us with the following responsibilities but not be limited to

  • You will work on characterization of various workloads, identification of system bottlenecks, development and modeling of features and configurations that improve power/performance while meeting platform constraints source code development, review and maintenance C/C++ unit and system level test and verification.

  • You also will assess the performance and efficiency of our new capabilities versus our previous products and versus our competition on a range of 3D Graphics workloads from benchmarks and real game scenes using various API OpenGL, Microsoft DX, Apple Metal, Vulkan.

  • Ensures platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components.

  • Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the performance.

  • Conducts system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms, develops advanced hardware tuning and overclocking.

Qualifications

Minimum skills and experience we would like to see you have:

Bachelors in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of experience with industry experience. A Masters with 5+ years of industry experience is preferred.

Your experience should be in the following areas:

  • Deep knowledge of 3D graphics and GPGPU pipeline.

  • Good knowledge of algorithms, APIs and programming techniques used in 3D games

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills

  • Experience with simulation tools and environments SystemC, SimuLink, ModelSim

Preferred Skills and Experience that will make you stand out

  • SoC & Platform level knowledge is plus
