Our client is looking for a Business Analyst for a 3-6 month contract to hire in Folsom, CA.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing new release system testing and transforming operational requirements into application. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the senior analyst, manager, or project director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with operations and systems staff to define requirements, test criteria, and success factors.

  • Write and execute test scripts for user acceptance testing based on upcoming application releases.

  • Document and track issues related to testing or the application to work towards a remedy.

  • Examine and resolve problems with, but not limited to, workflow or defects in data, software and/or procedures.

  • Use strong analytical reasoning to understand end user's requirements and assist the business analyst team to transform them into the operational application.

  • Analyze business processes for inefficiencies.

  • Escalate issues and triage with development teams as needed to research problems associated with deployed computer applications

  • Maintain documented processes, procedures and reports for all related work tasks.

  • Assist in coordinating business analyst projects and provide support to other team members.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree, required

  • At least three (3) years of related experience required

  • Availability to work occasional weekend hours for smoke testing post-release

  • Availability to visit a CLIENT work site for meetings and training.

  • Experience working with requirements-management tools

  • Working knowledge MS Office Suite, and MS Outlook

  • Familiarity with business process modeling

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time and resource management skills

  • Ability to work remote while remaining focused and dedicated to the job responsibilities.

  • Adaptability, flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity and change

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong troubleshooting/analytical skills

Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Agile environment

Knowledge of- JIRA, entellitrak, expert gateway, and 2 CLIENT developed systems

Entellitrak UAT

Oracle and SQL

Would like JAVA knowledge but not critical
