This position may be located in Sacramento, Fresno, Modesto, Visalia or Bakersfield, CA per the hiring manager's discretion.
As a Solutions Specialist for John Deere, you will assist our dealers with developing tailored packages of products and value added services to meet customer needs. You will apply your agronomic knowledge of equipment and ISG technology products to educate dealers and customers through Regional Training programs, farm shows, clinics, and in-field demonstrations. You will work closely with the Territory Sales Managers and Territory Customer Support Managers to develop the dealer organization. In addition, you will:
Support the Dealer of Tomorrow Strategy for dealers in your geography
Stay current on cropping practices and technologies in the area
Establish the interface with sales branches, factory marketing, product planning and channel partners to provide accurate data and analysis to improve product market intelligence, product performance and promote sales activities on specific products
Provide feedback to other business units on customer and channel partner product improvement requests for agronomic solutions
Lead communication and training to increases awareness and adaptation of farming systems solutions
** Each position will differentiate only in geography. However, geographical location will determine the types of crop, soil, conditions, pests, infestations, and other agronomic issues that the person will face.

What Skills You Need
Experience working in at least one of the areas of cropping systems: working with Agricultural dealers in sales or product support, or working with Agricultural Service providers
Ability to travel domestically, up to 50% (some overnight travel during the week and limited travel on weekends)
What Makes You Stand Out
Agronomic background and experience working with the production Agriculture
Solid background and understanding of the dealer channel
Work experience with Commercial Applicator dealers and/or seed and fertilizer dealers
Education (or equivalent experience)
Certified Crop Advisor license is preferred but not required
