Here is your opportunity to work on the first ever high-speed rail program in the U.S. while growing your career on a groundbreaking project. The California High-Speed Rail program will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. By 2029, the system will run from San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin in under three hours at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. The system will also extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.
The California High Speed Rail Authority has awarded WSP USA the Program Management role within the Rail Delivery Partners (RDP) program delivery team. As a result, we have an immediate opportunity for a Senior IT Program Manager. This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating a multi-million dollar annual budget supporting many IT projects running simultaneously for the program, reporting into the executive team for the program, located in Sacramanto, CA. Key responsibilities include:
IT Program/Project Management
Reporting and presentations to the senior program leadership team
Leadership and guidance to program staff to achieve program goals
Tactical and strategic planning and tracking to achieve success
Supervision of staff, fostering their careers and growing the team
Management and reporting of IT budgets
Application of experience/working knowledge of project-based applications
Application of experience/working knowledge of client-based ERP solutions in support of large program delivery
Bachelor’s degree in IT or CS, with a higher degree or MBA preferred
At least fifteen years relevant experience, which must include Program/Project Management delivery using information systems on large scale programs or enterprises.
PMP and relevant technical certifications preferred
The ability to work in the United States immediately, local candidates preferred
