Here is your opportunity to work on the first ever high-speed rail program in the U.S. while growing your career on a groundbreaking project. The California High-Speed Rail program will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. By 2029, the system will run from San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin in under three hours at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. The system will also extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.
The California High Speed Rail Authority has awarded WSP USA the Program Management role within the Rail Delivery Partners (RDP) program delivery team. As a result, we have an immediate opportunity for a Senior IT Business Analyst, reporting into the executive team for the program, located in Sacramento, CA. Key responsibilities include:
Providing the overall link between IT and business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks
Helping the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of IT projects and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners
Analyzing, organizing, translating and simplifying requirements, and communicating them to the responsible parties within the program
Assisting with the business case, planning and monitoring
Defining configuration specifications and business analysis requirements
Defining reporting and alerting requirements
Own and develop relationships with program partners
Helping design, document and maintain system processes
Performing quality assurance
Bachelor’s degree in IT or CS, with a higher degree or MBA preferred
At least ten years relevant experience, which must include Program/Project Management delivery using information systems on large scale programs or enterprises.
PMP and relevant technical certifications preferred
The ability to work in the United States immediately, local candidates preferred
