Implements volunteer programs in order to assist staff to uphold the mission, vision and values of Dignity Health. Manages the recruiting, training and scheduling of volunteers. Provides volunteers for community outreach activities as needed. Assists the director in deploying initiatives as needed.
Implements volunteer recruiting and training strategies and promotes them throughout the organization.
Monitors the implementation of volunteer programs to ensure adequate and proper compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinates the scheduling and continual recruitment of volunteers to support programs.
Deploys volunteer-specific orientation, training, competencies and continuing education.
Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience and education) required
Three (3) years of experience in related volunteer services in a supervisory, management or leadership role including recruiting orienting, and training volunteers and employees required
Experience in project management, event planning, budget administration and program development required
Knowledge of organization's budget process and ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget
Knowledge of human resource acquisition policies and ability to participate in the process of recruitment of employees , volunteers and contract personnel, achieving optimal match between candidate and position
Knowledge of the principles and methodology used to improve employees' performance; ability to apply these theories to lead and motivate a successful team and organization
Knowledge of processes and procedures of training programs management; ability to design, implement, evaluate and develop an organization's training programs to achieve high business performance
