Job Description:

3M is seeking a Fall Protection Specialist for the Personal Safety Division located in the Northwest Region.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Technical Sales Representative will focus delivering winning strategies in the US Market for Fall Protection products. The role will focus on expanding the footprint of 3M Fall Protection products in Utilities, General Industry and Construction segments.

Strong communication and organization skills will be required for this position. Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Drive key customer opportunities in General Industry and Construction segments

  • Provide Fall Protection regional training and support to both internal core sales team and external customer base

  • Assist in prioritization of key new product projects within Mining and Utility segments

  • Manage Fall Protection penetration within key end user and distributor customers in Safety and Utility segments

  • Support Training program development and materials with Training Manager

Location and Travel: The person hired for the position of Fall Protection Specialist will be located in the San Francisco Bay area in the state of California and may include up to 25% travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience in the personal safety or industrial market

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

  • Spanish Language skill highly preferred

  • Key Account Management experience

  • Business Development Experience preferred

  • Fall protection Training Experience preferred

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills in a variety of audiences

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Self-starter who can effectively work in a fast paced environment and work through and manage change/ambiguity, with an appropriate sense of urgency

  • Experience working with cross functional project teams

  • Business and financial acumen

  • Demonstrates positive energy, confidence and optimism; an energizing leadership style; is collaborative; has a "can-do" "can-help" attitude; creates a positive work environment, and fosters morale

Location: Northern, CA

Sales Territory: San Francisco Bay Area, California

Travel: 25% travel required

Relocation: Is not authorized
