We are currently seeking a Software Tester to join our IT team in Rancho Cordova, CA. The Software Tester will be responsible for all aspects of testing for the various software applications used by the business. This person will become an expert in the business’s processes and the software systems that are used in processing home loans. The ideal candidate will be someone with a background in the mortgage industry, a solid understanding of various technology platforms, very strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to learn quickly. If you have a love for testing software and enjoy learning new things in a fast-paced environment, this might be the job for you.
Required Skills: - Develop test plans and execute tests for major and minor updates to our software programs including but not limited to our lending platform, imaging platform, customer-facing web portal, and our CRM system.
Perform all aspects of testing including functional, regression, load, performance and system testing.
Facilitate user acceptance testing with end-users as needed.
Create and track system defects and test resolutions to defects.
Contribute towards development and implementation of an automated testing strategy.
Escalate to and work with internal software engineering team to resolve complex support issues.
Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements.
Contribute to knowledgebase articles to address frequently asked questions and best practices for loan origination our other reverse mortgage business applications.
Participate in test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions.
Create and execute SQL scripts to be used for test validation.
Assist with technical artifacts and can engage in technical discussions (I.e. User stories, Scrum meetings, etc.).
Perform data validation on ETL job processes and database changes.
Document, analyze and communicate test results and assist with defect management.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
