Kratos Technology and Training is seeking an Integration Support Engineer to join our Kratos Communications engineering team. Kratos Communications provides enterprise NMS and M&C products that manage services delivery across global terrestrial and satellite networks. The successful candidate will become an integral member of our delivery team responsible for configuring, testing and supporting product solutions deployed across a global customer base.
The successful candidate will have solid communications skill, be positive under pressure and be detail oriented. Experience supporting technical customers with testing, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis is expected. Familiarity with satellite communications and/or network management systems is highly desired.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Process technical incidents identifying and collecting missing information.• Facilitate and capture reproduction steps.• Document and stage software test cases to verify and validate issue and resolution.• Communicate symptom clearly.• Facilitate Customer Communication between Customer and Product Engineering.• Research and propose workarounds and resolutions clearly and positively.• Document and eliminate likely culprits.• Install and configure product software and review software configuration.
• Candidate must have the ability to install and configure software systems.• Highschool/GED.• Must have 2-3 years’ experience working Tier 2 support.• Familiarity with software and network profiling and troubleshooting tools.• Root cause analysis experience.• Detail oriented organizational skills responsible for tracking technical issues to a satisfactory solution.• Solid writing and documentation skills are required. • Able to work well with others in a collaborative manner and be a self-starter with minimum supervision.• Team player capable of working in a results oriented environment.• Ability to read and produce technical documentation.• Firm grasp of root cause analysis/troubleshooting techniques.• Understanding of configuration management best practices.• Experience with systems integration (Linux and Windows) and software testing.• Excellent analytical skills, and must be a self-starter and quick learner.• Solid written and verbal communication skill required.• Excellent phone manner.• Hands on experience analyzing and troubleshooting computer systems.• Basic grasp of network and serial communications.• Software development experience highly desired (C, Java, C#, .NET, SQL). • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification.• Less than 10% Travel.
