Sutter Health Supervisor, Business Office in Auburn, California

Oversees the business office operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center including areas such as coding, insurance and patient billings, collections, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and management of the business office staff. May be required to participate in special projects and committees at the direction of the Surgery Center Administrator. This is a working supervisor position.


High School Diploma Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management Preferred


Experience in a medical office or ambulatory healthcare setting as typically acquired in 3-4 years required.

Experience in medical office or ambulatory surgery billing and collection procedures as typically acquired in 2-3 years is required.

Accounts payable experience required

Supervisory experience in a medical office or ambulatory surgery center required

Experience with medical software systems as well as Microsoft suite of products Required

Skills and Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of Medicare and local payer coding and collection guidelines as they pertain to a medical office or ambulatory surgery center environment.

Ability to assemble information accurately and efficiently

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, patients, and the public

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities and situations

Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
